PUEBLO — The Pueblo Fire Dept. has a new piece of equipment to help firefighters train.

The state has loaned the dept. its live burn trailer.

The tool lets firefighters train for different building fire scenarios.

This is important for fire training because this is a safe way to expose our firefighters to live fire in a much more controlled environment. Propane is a much safer way, a much cooler temperature when it comes to burning," Capt. Bryce Boyer said.

The state purchased the burn trailer back in 2014 and its used by fire departments throughout the state.
