PUEBLO — Pueblo is ready to heat up summer, with farmers beginning to roast chile peppers.

Farmer Shane Milberger said because of hot and dry conditions this season you can expect a bit more of a kick from the peppers this year.

"So it looks like this chile crop this year will be on the hotter side than normal. We've ate quite a few of them already and they are on the hot side," Milberger said.

Milberger said you can expect to see Pueblo Chile Peppers in grocery stores across the state by mid-August.
