PUEBLO — More money is becoming available to help people in Pueblo County.
The local United Way way received $300,000 in COVID-19 Cares Act money from the county.
The money will go to people who need help paying their rent, mortgage or utility bills.
"I cant emphasize enough how important these funds are to keep individuals and families inside their homes," said United Way of Pueblo County CEO Shanna Farmer. "As many of you know there is a huge housing shortage in Pueblo."
United way is working with local Catholic Charities and the Salvation Army to disperse the money.
To apply for the money, contact one of the two groups.
