Pueblo County United Way opens up application process for emergency funds

PUEBLO — A group in pueblo is trying to help non-profits in their time of need during COVID-19.

Pueblo County United Way has opened up their application process for emergency funds for local non-profits.

"I cannot even begin to tell you how important these dollars are," said Shanna Farmer from Pueblo County United Way. "We have our non-profits working on the front lines of this crisis and they need these funds more than ever."

Currently, Pueblo County United Way has about $95,000 in the fund.

United Way is also asking people to donate to the emergency fund.

Grant application for Round 1 will end on Saturday night, with awards being announced and distributed between May 4th through the 8th.

Round 2, Mid-/Long-tern Recovery will remain open through May 16 at 11:59 p.m
