PUEBLO COUNTY — Pueblo County is set to receive its COVID-19 vaccines later this week.
Parkview Medical Center will get 1,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine and 2,500 of the Moderna vaccine, when it is approved.
The county health department will oversee the first shipment.
Right from transport to storage to handling to administration and to monitoring, so this is not a show up at your local Walgreens get a shot and walk out the door. This is far more complicated than that," Dr. Sandeep Vijan, Parkview Chief Medical Officer said.
310 doses will go to the Pueblo Health Department and the Colorado Mental Health Institution will 2,300.
