PUEBLO — Pueblo City Council has made decisions on several emergency ordinances to keep the city's homeless out of the cold.

The first ordinance approved during Monday night's City Council meeting was keeping the doors open at the shelter's temporary location on 9th St.

The second approved ordinance secured funding to keep the shelter running. The funding will be up to $80,000.

A permanent shelter that will be partially funded by a state grant is in the works. It is expected to be open by late December.

The city also reached an agreement with the Pueblo Rescue Mission to provide different services.
