PUEBLO — Over a hundred people gathered in Pueblo on Sept. 4 as part of the Arts Alliance's First Friday event.

It was called "The Fight - A Retrospective of Social Justice." It was a chance for the community to come together and honor movements, past and present.

"We live in a time when things are changing very rapidly and I think people need platforms to express themselves and to express how that has effected them and that is essentially what we are trying to give people here in Pueblo tonight," said the Activator for the Pueblo Arts Alliance Sandrah Burrier

There was a gallery show, performers, live music, speakers and food trucks. All took place with COVID-19 safety measures in place.

Organizers said this was the first event of its kind, and they plan to have more in the future.
