Prowers County Sheriff investigates death of 2-year-old child

PROWERS COUNTY — According to the Prowers County Sheriff, at about 11:30 a.m. the Prowers County Sheriff responded to the 500 block of E Oak Street for a call about a two-year-old was stuck by a van.

Once officers arrived on scene, they found the two-year-old deceased. Cause of death has yet to be determined by a coroner.

The name of the girl has not been released.

Prowers County says that this is an active investigation and no suspects are in custody.
