PUEBLO — A group that helps people in need in Pueblo is getting a boost in funding.
Posada is set to receive about $500,000 in federal money.
Most of the money will be used for people who are struggling to pay rent or their mortgage, especially if they've been impacted by COVID-19.
"It is going to have a tremendous effect on the community, so we are really excited about the opportunity to provide the support. And even before city council and Bryan Gallagher identified this funding source, Posada was working independently to assemble a private funding source to help people," ... said Executive Director Kim Bowman said.
Posad is set to receive the money next month.
