MANITOU SPRINGS — Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a barricaded suspect in Manitou Springs Tuesday afternoon.
The suspect was barricaded in a residence near Canon Avenue and Narrows Road.
The El Paso County Sheriff's Office responded to assist the Manitou Springs Police Department, who was the lead agency.
According to Manitou Police, the incident began when a parole officer went to see the suspect at his home.
A woman answered the door and said the man wouldn't come out and had a gun.
When the man did eventually come outside, he was not holding a gun but did have a beer. He was taken into custody without incident.
Manitou Police said they are getting a search warrant for the house to search for a gun.
