Colorado Springs police investigating report of shots fired New Year's Day

COLORADO SPRINGS — The Colorado Springs Police Department said witnesses told officers that a man was shot and left the scene before authorities arrived early Wednesday morning.

CSPD said they responded to reports of shots fired just after 1 a.m. on the 8000 block of Steward Lane.

Officers said they were informed that a man was shot. Police said they were able to find shell casings on the street, but they did not find any suspects.

Later on, CSPD said they were told a man arrived to a hospital with an injury possibly related to the call. The injury is not life-threatening.

Police said they are continuing to investigate this incident.
