COLORADO SPRINGS — An autopsy of a man found near the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail determined his death was "not criminal in nature," according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.
Police and fire personnel responded to an area near the trail around 6 a.m. Aug. 16 after a report came in of a person on the ground. When medical personnel arrived at the scene just south of West Polk Street, they confirmed the individual was deceased.
The department said the man's name will not be released and this investigation remains active.
