COLORADO SPRINGS — A man accused of threatening a woman with a hammer and stole her car last week has been arrested for that crime and other robberies, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.

The department said 20-year-old Lenard Moe is linked to one robbery at Babes Espresso on Jan. 8 and tried to rob it again two days later.

CSPD said the woman who was threatened with the hammer was going into work in the 2000 block of Lelaray St. on Jan. 24 when the suspect approached her. Police said he took her purse, keys and left in her car. The woman was not injured during the carjacking. Police said they found her car later that day in Pueblo.

On Tuesday, a suspect threatened a woman with a gun in the parking lot of Walmart off North Union Boulevard. The suspect stole her car, hit a curb, and fled on foot.

Moe was arrested Tuesday after authorities determined he was the suspect in each case.
