COLORADO SPRINGS — YMCA's in our area are preparing to reopen next week.

The opening process will happen in phases.

A majority of part-time staff have been furloughed. About 20 percent will be brought back initially and more will come back as programs open up.

People that need the YMCA to work on their health benefits have been void of that, so it's had a really tremendous impact on our community but also on our organization," Boyd Williams, President/CEO of the Pikes Peak Region YMCA said.

The "Y" will be opening five locations in the area first and others will follow.
