Record temperatures have arrived as a heat wave continues across the region.
According to News5 Lead Forecaster Mike Daniels, Pueblo and Colorado Springs both set record highs for today. Pueblo hit 105 degrees, beating last year's record of 104, and temperatures in the Springs hit 97, tying the record set in 2005.
And while they didn't set records, other cities definitely saw the mercury rise:
- Lamar - 111
- La Junta - 108
- Trinidad - 102
- Monument - 92
If you have to be outside for the rest of the afternoon make sure you drink plenty of water and take breaks from the heat when you can.
