COLORADO SPRINGS — There were many empty churches in southern Colorado Sunday morning as worshipers followed stay-at-home orders.
Church parking lots that are normally full in Colorado Springs and Pueblo were mostly empty.
Many local churches streamed their Easter services online and one local pastor told News 5 that they've noticed more people watching online than would normally attend in person.
"It tells me people are hungry for hope, people are so hungry for hope right now. Tell me this is going to be okay...tell me there's something out there that I can hold onto in the midst of this storm, in the midst of this uncertainty in my life," Pastor Greg Lindsey at Discovery Church Colorado said.
Churches that were able began streaming in mid-March when recommendations to avoid large gatherings were fist announced.
