One person seriously injured in a shooting in Palmer Park

COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs police are looking for answers after a shooting left one person seriously injured Saturday night in Palmer Park.

Around 6:50 p.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to Palmer Parker on a reported shooting.

The victim told officers that two suspects demanded money from him while he was parked in his vehicle. Police say when the victim refused, several shots were fired into the vehicle by suspects.

Police say the victim drove himself to the Kum and Go on Academy Boulevard and Maizeland Road and was taken to the hospital for serious injuries.

Police searched the park extensively, but they have not located the suspects.
