COLORADO SPRINGS — The nonprofit Crossfire Ministries needs new sock and underwear donations to help low-income families.

Crossfire helps hundreds of families through programs like their full-service food pantry, but staff say there's a big need for these basic items.

"These are people that are just struggling, they're working so hard," said volunteer coordinator Amy Dunbar.
"And there's always [...] that brink of homelessness and quite frankly, new underwear, new socks are just not on the radar financially."

Crossfire serves more than 300 families a day, and they want to collect as many as 10,000 pairs of socks and underwear so each family can take some home.

If you'd like to donate, you can stop by their location at 2120 E La Salle St every Tuesday through Thursday, between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

If you'd like to sign up to volunteer, you can call Amy Dunbar at 719-359-6015 or reach her via email at volunteer@crossfireministries.org.
