COLORADO SPRINGS — A new program made possible by the Pikes Peak Small Business Development Center will benefits small businesses in Colorado Springs.

Starting next Friday, Jan. 24, bi-monthly workshops called "Small Biz, Real Talk" will offer networking, experts, and information.

The purpose of the program is to highlight different types of businesses and their reasons for success.

And the workshops will not be power-point based, but actual hands-on learning.

"We're going back so that the sensory piece of learning comes back, the feeling, the hearing, the seeing, the smelling of the space, and really having that time to get down into the grit," said Executive Director Aikta Marcoulier.

The first workshop next Friday morning will run from 9:00 - 10:30 at Sparkles and Lace Boutique in Colorado Springs.
