PUEBLO WEST — A vote on a proposed transmission line that has stirred controversy in Pueblo West will move to a larger venue.

Pueblo County Commissioners moved their vote on Black Hills Energy's reliability upgrade for southern Colorado to 9:30 a.m. on August 13.

The vote will take place at the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center to allow more people to attend.

Black Hills says the project will meet the power demand for customers from Pueblo West to Cañon City.

People who live near the proposed site say the lines are unnecessary in their area and will obstruct their views.
