FORT CARSON — A new leader is now in place for the Fourth Combat Aviation Division at Fort Carson.

Col. Scott Myers accepted command from Col. Scott Gallaway at a Change of Command ceremony held at Founders FIeld on the Mountain Post Friday morning.

The division's primary purpose is to support ground troops.

Col. Myers said he's glad to be back in Colorado Springs after serving in the Third ACR 20 years ago.

"I brought my family back here and what a way to kinda on the back, maybe not on the back end of my career, but surely on the latter half of my career to come back to the place where I kinda started in Army aviation," Myers said.

Col. Myers has a wife and two teenage children.
