COLORADO SPRINGS — There are new options for foodies in downtown Colorado Springs.

Across from Acacia Park on Tejon sits a trio of restaurants that are the newest endeavor of Choice Restaurant Concepts, the team behind T-Byrds Tacos & Tequila.

A private, soft opening was held Friday night.

"So you're in Mood Tapas Bar at the moment, Spanish/Mediterranean fusion, it's also more of a shareable, small plates, more focus on wine. DistrictElleven is our speak easy, like craft cocktail bar focusing on premium whiskeys, and Bird Tree Cafe has soups, sandwiches, salads, and also has a great bar menu at night," said owner, Krystal Byrd.

If you plan on heading downtown to try the new places, keep in mind that parking rates were raised on Jan. 1.
