LAKE PUEBLO — A hot fishing spot in Pueblo is now open to the public.
Lake Pueblo State Park announced Thursday it opened ponds four and five on the chain of lakes.
Park Manager Monique Mullis said the fishing is so good there, anglers are only allowed to keep one catfish, and all other fish are catch and release.
"Ponds four and five it is going to be fun but we want people to be very respectful of the fishery and follow the rules so that isn't just fun for two weeks it is fun for perpetuity," Mullis said.
Lake Pueblo said ponds two and three will now be open for kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, and fishing aids.
