Nation's oldest veteran celebrates 107 birthday

COLORADO SPRINGS — The Centennial State's older resident celebrated his 107 birthday in Colorado Springs on Monday.

Ollie Cellini is also the nation's oldest living veteran. He is a former Colonel Air Force Fighter Pilot and is also a distinguished war veteran with multiple medals. Cellini served in World War 2 before retiring in Colorado.

"It's an honor, big honor. I really appreciate it," Cellini said.

In his lifetime, Cellini served as Inspector General for the Air Defense Command and Vice Commander of the Fourth Air Force Group for more than three decades.
