PUEBLO — A Pueblo Police Corporal who helped stop a suicide two-years-ago is getting national attention.

Back in 2018, Corporal Richard Jones and other officers responded to a man holding a gun outside of Parkview Medical Center.

Jones convinced the man not to kill himself that day.

Now, Discovery ID's TV show, "Body Cam" is sharing his story.

"I think it is great. It shows the great work our police officers do, the heart that they put into the job, the caring that they put into the job, and the good things they try and do every time they put on the uniform and come to work," Sgt. Franklyn Ortega said.

A release date for the episode is not known at this time.
