COLORADO SPRINGS — Mountain Ridge Middle School issued a statement saying they will have more security on their campus Tuesday, but will continue their school day as normal after learning of a potential threat to the school.

The principal of the school said they immediately contacted the Colorado Springs Police Department and Academy District 20 Security, which did an assessment and reported there is no safety concern to students or school.

The principal also said the students and staff kept their focus on school at Monday, despite what was happening on social media.
