COLORADO SPRINGS — Mountain Metro Transit is adding a new route for employees of the new Amazon distribution center that's being built near the Springs' airport.
The route will run from the area of Astrozon and Academy to the Amazon facility, and to the airport.
Bus service will run six to seven times a day in order to accommodate the three to four shift changes that Amazon says will take place at the facility.
The route will go into service when the facility opens. That is expected to happen this summer.
