EL PASO COUNTY — More than 300 toys are now in the hands of families in need this holiday season thanks to the efforts of the Monument Police Department and School District 38.
The Monument Police Department's yearly Santa on Patrol program works to deliver toys to children of families who might be struggling.
Police collected donations from the community and the school district helped contact parents to find out what each kid wanted from Santa.
Saturday, the kids were able to get their toys from the officers.
Kids got a chance to talk to Santa and take pictures while elves passed out toys.
