SALIDA — It's time! Monarch Mountain is opening its lifts for the season starting Friday, Nov. 1.

Starting this weekend, it will be open Friday through Sunday.

This early opening is thanks to the snow we've been receiving since Monarch Mountain relies entirely on natural snow.

Monarch Mountain said on Facebook Monday that they received 7 inches overnight with the first wave of winter weather from this week.

Skiers will have from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to use the lifts for Pioneer, Tumbelina and Caterpillar.

Monarch Mountain said The Outpost will be closed Friday through Sunday.

Adult lift tickets are available for $57 during the early season.
