BLANCA — The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has deactivated an endangered/missing alert for a baby girl and her mother after the child was found safe.
The alert was requested by the Blanca Police Department after the child's mother, Cynthia Sandoval, left an Alamosa hospital with the infant. According to the CBI, the child was born at home overnight and several welfare checks were requested. According to authorities, she complied and went to the hospital but then evaded DSS and left with the child.
A representative with the Blanca Police Department said they are still searching for Cynthia Sandoval. She is wanted on multiple charges. We are expecting to learn more information later on Tuesday.
