PUEBLO — Law enforcement agencies in Pueblo are working to remember fallen officers, deputies, and troopers.

The Pueblo Police Department, Pueblo County Sheriff's Office, and State Patrol want to build a memorial to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

"We can't forget them, we can't forget their sacrifice and you know some of them have family members who live in the community so this is a reminder or a memorial to them top," said Sgt. Franklyn Ortega from the Pueblo Police Department.

The design is still in the planning phase.

The groups hope to have the memorial finished and placed somewhere in downtown Pueblo by Police Week next year.
