Manitou Springs Police searching for shooting suspect

MANITOU SPRINGS — The Manitou Springs Police Department is looking for a man who allegedly shot one person Saturday afternoon.

Around 4:46 p.m. on Saturday, November 23 officers were dispatched to 141 Manitou Ave. on a shots fired call.

According to police, the people who called 911 said a man had been shot and that he was on the ground in front of the Dillon Motel. The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses also said the suspect left the area in a minivan. Authorities later determined the vehicle is a blue Town and Country Minivan with Colorado Plate JUO158.

The suspect is believed to be a white male, tan complexion, with a brown, groomed, two to three inch long beard, and a stocky build. He is believed to be armed with a 9mm handgun.
