DENVER — A judge sentenced a 27-year-old man to 30 years in prison for a hit and run crash that left one person dead in 2016.

Judge Kenneth Laff sentenced Tyler White on Tuesday for second degree murder and menacing in connection to the death of 28-year-old Airel Berryman. He had pleaded guilty in April. Authorities said White was driving his Dodge Challenger 135 mph on Colorado Boulevard near I-25 when he crashed.

The crash involved four vehicles, killing Berryman. Prosecutors said he then ran away from the scene on foot. He was arrested several hours after the crash when two fishermen saw him dancing naked in Denver's City Park and called police.

As part of White's plea agreement, he agreed to pay $9,500 in restitution.
