COLORADO SPRINGS — A young man named Jacob is among hundreds of job seekers in line at a King Soopers job hiring event in Colorado Springs. A couple of weeks ago he was a happy with his retail job selling clothes. Then coronavirus fallout caused business to plummet. "Unfortunately, a lot of employees got laid off, they just kind of told us they can't hold us because they don't have any work for us,” said Jacob.

The King Soopers job fair puts a spotlight on the hit to businesses and jobs due to the COVID-19 prevention response. "I thought it was going to be like ten people, maybe 20,” said a job seeker named Kyle, “Turned out to be like 300."
