COLORADO SPRINGS — Monday, December 10 is Colorado Gives Day, which is the largest statewide online donation day for vetted charities.

Colorado Springs businesses, like City Rock in Downtown Colorado Springs, helped raise money by donating a percentage of proceeds from their cafe and sales to Habitat for Humanity.

This is the second year that City Rock has donated on Colorado Gives Day.

They say those chose to donate to Habitat for Humanity because getting a grip on affordable housing should be everyone's problem.

"It's a great way for us to give back to the community, so we joined up with smiles on our faces," said General Manager Heather Robinson.

More than 2,500 nonprofits will benefit from Colorado Gives Day.
