COLORADO SPRINGS — A cold front moved in from the north, causing winds to pick up throughout the morning. The winter-weather impacts have concluded and the News5 team will update this blog should conditions pick up again.
10 a.m.
Teller County roads are seeing slick conditions and impacts to commutes. The public information officer with the Teller County Sheriff's Office tweeted, "County Rd 1, Highway 67 & 24 in Teller County are experiencing adverse weather conditions. Limit travel to essential. Expect delays."

Colorado State Patrol tweeted roads are icy and slick in Colorado Springs. Be cautious while driving and use slower speeds.

A disabled vehicle on westbound Fountain west of Academy is blocking the right lane. Use caution traveling throughout town this morning.

Southbound I-25 is closed at Castle Pines Parkway while CDOT crews plow the area and remove multiple stalled vehicles off the roadway.

If you're flying out of Denver International Airport today, the airport tweeted delays are possible as snow is expected throughout the morning. If you’re flying today, double check your flight status with your airline and drive safely on your way to the airport.
6:20 a.m.
The commute up to Denver is about 73 minutes from Colorado Springs this morning as snow continues to fall in northern El Paso County up to Denver. Give yourself plenty of time if you are out on the road.
5:50 a.m.
The morning commute north of Monument to Denver will be longer than normal due to blowing snow. Rain, snow and gusty winds will continue through mid-afternoon, with 3-6" of snow possible above 7,000 feet.
