PUEBLO COUNTY — Lake Pueblo State Park could reach an all time record for visitor numbers this year.

The park manager said it has been a busy summer, with Father's Day and the Fourth of July being their busiest times. She is projecting the park could see three million visitiors by the end of the year.

"Lake Pueblo is a year round park, so the idea that summer is over and we have fall and everyone can relax is not the case for us.Actually, our campgrounds have been filled since Labor Day and they will continue to be probably these next few weekends," said park manager, Monique Mullis.

Improvements will come to the park next year. They will include new paved roads for the North and South marinas, among other things.
