PUEBLO — Pueblo took some time Thursday to show a little bit of love to Parkview Medical Center.

The Pueblo Community College Foundation and the Stein family gave more than 1,000 bags full of candy, including Hershey's Kisses and Lifesavers, to Parkview workers.

They called it "Kisses for Our Lifesavers." They said they wanted to show their appreciation to health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"It's a surprise and everybody likes a surprise in the middle of their day," said Dr. Steven Nafziger. "Just the surprise of it will be very nice for the employees."

Another 500 bags were made for Saint Mary Corwin Medical Center.
