COLORADO SPRINGS — An event was held Saturday in Colorado Springs to help encourage Hispanic business ownership.
"Hispanic Startup Weekend" offered resources for business owners to get answers to challenges they face, the chance to meet peers, and talk to investors.
Local business owners said it was a great opportunity for people just starting out.
"I really wish that this had been available years back when I was a new entrepreneur and I had to learn a lot of these things on my own," said Jessica Fierro, owner of Atrevida Beer Company.
The event served as a kick off to Colorado Springs Startup Week, which starts Monday.
