COLORADO SPRINGS — A 22-year-old man who is accused of sexually assaulting a student at The Classical Academy while he was a senior at the school is in custody after the Colorado Springs Police Department conducted a month-long investigation.
Police said they received a sexual assault report in October pertaining to students at TCA. CSPD said they learned through an initial investigation that a student may have been sexually assaulted by another student on the campus in the 2015-16 school year.
After continued investigations, CSPD said they were able to identify more victims and gather more evidence over the next month to arrest 22-year-old Jason Emanuelson.
Emanuelson was arrested on Nov. 19 on two counts of sexual assault. Police said he was a senior at TCA during the school year under investigation.
The department said they believe there could be other victims.
