BEULUAH — A small town in Pueblo County is starting to see more furry visitors than normal.
The Nature and Wildlife Discovery Center in Pueblo said it has been receiving numerous reports lately of bears in the Beulah area.
The center's Maintenance Director said the bears' food sources are drying up and they are covering more ground in search of food.
"They are really scavenging for food, so every time you go out the door you have to give a shout, you have to make some noise and make sure they know that you are coming," Anthony Pemberton said.
Pemberton said the most important reminder he can give is to secure your trash.
