PUEBLO — According to the Pueblo Police, a pedestrian has been hit and killed by a vehicle at Southbound I-25 and 13th Street.
Emergency response crews are responding. Officials are asking people to avoid the area as they work.
I-25 South was closed between Exit 99B: 13th Street and Exit 99A: CO 96; 6th Street. I-25 South has since reopened.
According to the Pueblo Police, on November 2 at around 6:50 a.m., Pueblo Police responded to I-25 South and the 13th Street on-ramp for a car crash involving a pedestrian.
An initial investigation showed that a woman was walking in the southbound lanes of traffic
when she was hit by a car. She was then struck by a second vehicle.
The woman died due to her injuries and has been identified as 44-year-old Rebecca Maes.
