PUEBLO — The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region in Pueblo is offering discounted vaccination prices for your furry loved ones! This offer happens every Friday and it could make a big difference in the health of your pets.
Normally, those vaccinations are priced at $20, but on Fridays they are offered at $10.
They are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis at their Pueblo clinic located at 4600 Eagleridge Place.
HSPPR Community Relations Specialist Kate Aviv said vaccines are important for your pets, dogs or cats, because they can protect them from fatal and expensive illnesses. She also said they can also prevent the spread of disease that harms other animals.
HSPPR offers vaccines for rabies, bordetella and both canine and feline distemper vaccines. You can get a 3-year vaccine if you have proof of your pet's rabies vaccine from the past year.
Aviv said even though pet owners think their cats or dogs aren't susceptible to these diseases, they see cases of illnesses like distemper on a daily basis.
In addition to this ongoing offer, HSPPR is on the heels of a wide-scale free spay and neuter event between Friday, Feb. 21 and Saturday, Feb. 22. Aviv says their staff spay, neuter, and vaccinate more than 60 cats and dogs combined
Even though spots for that event are already full, Aviv says they expect to organize another event like that in May made possible by the Colorado Spay/Neuter Coalition”? You can track announcements on that event on HSPPR's website and sign up for low-cost spay and neuter services by clicking here. You can schedule an appointment under the "Services" tab at the top.
Cats are $45 for male and $65 for female. Meanwhile, dogs are $80 for male and $95 for female.
