EL PASO COUNTY — The Colorado Horse Rescue Network is providing hay to families in need and taking in horses from those unable to take care of them during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Executive Director Carrie Terroux-Barett says thanks to donations the group was able to get 500 bales of hay, worth around $6,000 dollars, for families that have applied for assistance.

Horse owners in El Paso County and surrounding counties who need hay can email info@coloradohorserescuenetwork.com and provide your name and address, the number of horses, and the reason why you need assistance.

Anyone who can donate is asked to do so through the Colorado Horse Rescue Network website.
