PUEBLO — Big Daddy's Sunset Bowl in Pueblo saw 30 teams from across Colorado compete in state high school bowling championships this weekend.

The 180 bowlers competed for the state title in team and individual events.

"It's definitely nerve-wracking when you think about it because there's a lot of bowlers, but you just have to focus on how you bowl and your team and just build each other up," said Megan Emerson, a bowler for Pueblo West High School. "But it's a big accomplishment to say you made it to state for bowling.

Another bowler called this a "unique opportunity" to meet the other competitors.

"Everyone that is the best from around the state is here. That is why they are here, so it is a really cool opportunity, it's a really unique opportunity to be able to intermingle with all of these people and compete against really the best in the state that we can see," said Tanner Ausec with Rampart High School.

The team to take home the state title trophy was the Rampart Rams.
