PUEBLO — The Pueblo City Government is helping nonprofits in their time of need.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most nonprofits have to cancel charity events, which bring in money for the groups.

Pueblo City Council stepped up to honor its commitments to several nonprofits, like Posada, The Goodnight Barn, and many other groups.

"It's really important! It supports our operations and, in addition to the operations, it supports two scholarships to Pueblo Community College for two formerly homeless students," said Kim Bowman, Posada Executive Director.

Close to $30,000 has been given to more than 20 groups.
