PUEBLO WEST — A group of volunteers came together to help clean up part of Pueblo West Saturday morning.

The "Pueblo County Patriots" is made up of people from all over Pueblo County.

Saturday, about 24 people met at Purcell and Industrial to pick up trash. After about an hour of work, they had filled a pickup bed full of trash.

The group said this was just one way to help support the community.

"We just feel like our community is a place to be proud of and we want it to be represented that way. So picking up trash and cleaning up, that's our little part in making sure that when people come through here they look at our community and they see what we see and that's a great place to live," Christy Fidura said.

The group plans to organize more community clean up events in the future. They also hope to get more people to join them.
