MOFFAT — The Saguache County Sheriff's Office said that 13-year-old Cara Poland has been found and is safe.
"We would like to thank the Saguache County community for everyone who shared the post looking for her and the people who helped locate her. We appreciate you," the sheriff's office said in a Facebook post.
Authorities believed she was heading to North Carolina or Chicago with someone who she met through social media or a dating app.
