PUEBLO — The Gateway to the Southwest is starting to take shape in Pueblo.

The framework for the foundation of the pillars have been built and project managers hope to have the first part of the sculpture put in by November.

"The public can see this as a real project. It's really going to influence the gateway to Pueblo and to the southwest by having a monumental statue and sculptures at the bridge," said Capital Projects Manager, Bill Zwick.

The sculpture is on pace to be complete by June of 2020.
