COLORADO SPRINGS — The Garden of the Gods hosted its 15th Annual Big Horn Sheep Day Saturday.
Park officials said the event is a great chance to learn about Colorado's state animal, the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep, as well as other wildlife that lives in the area.
"Seeing the smiles on the faces and the recognition is kind of what it's all about. Connecting people with nature, that's why I'm here," said Parks Operations Administrator, Bret Tennis.
Part of the park's mission is to raise awareness about wildlife conservation efforts.
